the friendly writers' workshop

Shortly before he died of uncurable cancer, our friend and sometime Trasurer Alan wrote an open letter to the Group, and requested that it should be read to the Group on the first Thrusday following his death. I On Thursday 21st November 2024 it was. A few days later we joined his Partner and family at Parndon Crematorium  to say our farewells to him. A prolific writer ever ready to share the output of his  unbounded imagination, he was also a warm and friendly man ever ready tovfind word of praise and encouragement.  He will be sadly missed.                                                           Rest in peace, Alan.
